Trout fishing on the Hardanger Plateau, Norway. (ENG VOICE & SUBS)

Hardangervidda! My voice is getting high pitched. Now we have arrived at Mårbu
with the boat from Synken, where we parked. It went
like a charm. Faster than expected. I planned to sleep over at the DNT cabin
(The Norwegian Trekking Association) which is open for all, members or not; A nice gate to the eastern part
of Hardangervidda. We have a long journey tomorrow …
we also have plenty of time to walk today. We’ll just get going. The weather forecast
promises great weather. So tomorrow… ..we’ll walk about 20 km. I’ve dropped by Lågaros cabin. It’s run by DNT
(The Norwegian Trekking Association). There you can stock up with provisions
like dry food and canned goods. You can dry your clothes. Sleep in a nice bed. And meet nice people of course. The DNT system is fantastic. We are…heading for
that ridge over there. Right behind that lake.
Right up there. Somewhere there we’ll find the shed
which is our goal for the moment. This… ..should not take too long.
Soon we can start pulling up some fish. I haven’t been spoiled with fishing yet. It’s been a good long hike. But we have really been
lucky with the weather. And we saw a herd of wild reindeer. Several here and there. I feel alive. Nature… Now we’re in the middle of the plateau. I’m excited. My gosh! How cool is this? Check this out! Damn, how nice! My gosh! They’ve really worked on this. What a lovely…shed. With real beds,
mattresses and bedrolls. Loft beds. Real floor and everything. And a real wood burning stove. It’s going to be
thoroughly tested later on. This was nice. My voice is getting high pitched. A lot of little fish. Yes. Here’s one more. Also a little pan fish. That’s gonna make a tasty dinner. Look at this. I think this outlet looks good. At least exciting. But I’ve tried
both a spinner, a wobbler plus a lure and different types of water depths,
but nothing has happened. So then we’ll switch to worms. One little split shot and one worm. Let’s see how that goes. Oh, that one is better! Keep the rod slightly bent,
and let it run. I think he needs that. Oh, that’s a nice one. Oh. Look at this one! Hardanger Plateau! Subtitles: Martin Thorshaug
and Jonathan Learn
