The Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex at Tuggerah

The Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex at Tuggerah

– Look, last week I came to you with a video on the Tuggerah Town Center which in a little bit of
a pipeline at the moment. What a lot of people don’t know is there are things that
are actually progressing on the coast, things that a lot of people that I speak to that
they don’t know about. Now, right behind me is the
Tuggerah Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex
which is due to open this weekend and it was really surprising that so many people didn’t even know that this place has been created. From about 2014 this
land was given to Council of which then Council invested
about 13 million dollars and then had about a
10 million dollar grant from the Australian government as well. Now, this complex has been
designed in two stages. Stage one, which is happening
sort of right behind me and about to be opened this weekend, so pop along and have
a look at the opening. It’s happening on the
29th, 30th, and 31st. Now, stage one includes nine fields including a premier field,
change rooms, canteen, public toilets, and store rooms. There’s also a public car
park and bus parking as well. Okay, now, stage two is the design of a multipurpose and
indoor grandstand venue. Now, this was designed
by CKDS Architecture. Looks absolutely amazing and
super exciting for the coast. Don’t believe it’s been funded yet but that is in the pipeline
to happen at this complex. So, really, really positive
news for the coast. Now this complex is not just going to be limited to sporting events. It’ll be opened up for
things happening on the coast like festivals, community
events, expos, markets and a whole range of other activities so something that we can sort
of get behind and utilise for a much broader spectrum of events and things that are
happening on the coast. Just wanna bring it to your attention. Pop along this weekend, have a look, check it out, so many
people weren’t aware of it. I thought it was just
important to let you know that there’s some exciting
things happening on the coast.
