Hey there, it’s Danny from the Mount Vernon Parks Foundation. I’m standing here at the center of the Heart of the Park
trailhead facility. Behind me here is the soon-to-be parking lot that will hold
(about) 50 cars. Over my left shoulder here will be a nice new restroom eventually. A lot
of years in the making here and to all those that have contributed and donated,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! It’s finally happening I’m going to walk over this way and show you where the new
mountain bike skills park will be. Off of this end of the parking lot there will be access to the mountain bike skills park, which is
behind me everything you see back there. There’s gonna be about
TWO MILES OF NEW TRAIL
for mountain biking. It’s gonna be great for both youth mountain bikers and adults. Thanks to everyone who’s supported heavily in this.
It’s been in the works for a long time. If you like what we’re doing and you want to support further, we’re having a great party on September 15th
at Carpenter Creek Winery. We’re gonna have a trail race;
Running, Hiking, and Mountain Biking. That starts at 2:00 and then afterwards we’re gonna have a Trail Mixer Party at 3:30.
That’ll have live music, beer and wine, food and also a silent auction. And a lot of fun. We’re also gonna raffle off a full suspension mountain bike donated by Skagit Cycle at that event. Tickets still available. So, if you want to
support MVPF, that’s a great way to do it we’ve got other great projects happening in the world of
disc golf and, pickleball, and youth education. So check out our website – www.mvpf.org
