Lake Mead National Recreation Area – Las Vegas Bay Campground Review

Lake Mead National Recreation Area – Las Vegas Bay Campground Review

here we are in the Lake Mead National
Recreation Area on Lakeshore Road taking a left onto Lakeshore Drive and we’re
heading to the Las Vegas Bay campground now after you take a left onto Lakeshore
Drive you’re going to take another immediate left into the campground this
campground is located in Boulder City and it’s just east of Henderson Nevada this
campground has 86 sites and it’s $20 per night $10 with the senior pass and
there’s a 30-day maximum stay limit here we are rolling into the campground
on your right is the pay station this campground has several loops to the left
and one loop to the right this is dry camping so there aren’t any electricity
or water at each site now on your left is the first bathroom and on your right
is the dump station which has water as well near each bathroom is a water
spigot so you can fill your water there if need be and you’ll notice each site has a picnic
table and some have a grill and fire pit as well and coming up on the right is the
campground host site right there on the right garbage dumpsters are located
throughout the park up ahead on your left is the second bathroom on your right is the gate that we went
through and the loop that we stayed in straight ahead here is where the turnaround
is here’s the start of the turnaround straight ahead there is Lake Mead you
just get a little glimpse of it here’s our site number 21 we were able
to fit our 30-foot motorhome and towed side-by-side you see there is a picnic
table fire ring and grill combination this particular loop has a lot of trees
and bushes and had nice shade not all of them do we’re able to get over-the-air
TV reception 80 channels that we found and good cell phone reception as well and the next site is 22 which we did see
a coyote in that site so if you have animals be cautious of the Coyotes as
you can also see it’s a nice level wide very clean sites and a black top pad
and now we’ll go around this loop that we’re in it’s one of the smaller loops and it’s
pretty private we were the only ones in this loop the night that we stayed here the sites on this side of the loop are
more exposed than the site of we were in and there’s one site straight ahead of
us here that’s out on a point and has complete exposure it has a nice view but we
were there in the end of October and even then it was pretty warm in the Sun
and this is looking back at our site from the campground you can drive eight
miles down Lakeshore Road to Boulder Beach you can drive right down on to the
beach we drove our motorcycle down to the beach and we even took a little dip
into the lake so this is a nice little campground and I think it’s worth the
$20 I hope you find this review useful and you have a good time camping and
thanks for watching
