KHM Travel Agent Spotlight: Terre`e Williams


Off- Camera: “How do you like the weather
in Ohio?” Terre`e: “Compared to right now?” Off-Camera: “Yea.” Terre`e: “I’m from Texas… It’s 103º today, it was 105º yesterday Up here I heard someone say ‘oh, it’s kinda
warm today,’ oh, Iook at – it’s 87 degrees – awesome. You tell me which one you would prefer.” [Laughter] Terre`e: “My name is Terre`e Williams. I’ve been in I.T. for about 21, 22 years. I was thinking about taking a cruise for the
first time. Was talking to a friend of a friend, who was
an agent, and just started asking her questions about, you know ‘how did you get into it?’ You know, ‘what is it like?’ So, she shared her story, and I told her to
send me some links and information. So, I said, ‘let’s see how I’ll do with this,’
so here I am.” Terre`e: “Listen, let’s face it – $499 to
invest in myself, to start my own business, to have unlimited training, and be part of
a family. I look at it as a family business. It’s a no-brainer. Live events, personal business development,
people in your corner, that’s why I did it.” Terre`e: “Yes, this is, uh, my very first
training event. I read about the Boot Camp, and it was like
‘let’s give it a shot,’ so very first actually event with KHM.” Terre`e: “The food – no, I’m just kidding!” [Laughter] Terre`e: “I guess, having the suppliers here. Explaining their product, explaining their
approaches, and encouraging you that has been one. And, for me, I’m a more personal type learner,
and a hands-on learner, and being able to actually ask questions, you know, right there
instead of writing it and waiting, it’s been awesome. And there’s always that one little piece of
information that you’re really not real sure about. And being able to have the instructor come
over to you, spend time, and walk you through it more so than just you reading it or trying
to figure it out yourself. It’s money well spent for me.” Terre`e: “Gosh. Where do I begin? There are marketing tools that they have. There are business developement tools. You have access to email anyone, really I
feel like, in the organization or in the company. Wether it’s a finance question, or a commission
question, ‘how do I book with this,’ there’s an expert in every area to help you be successful. So, I can’t name one tool really.” Terre`e: “Most definitely. Especially new agents, I mean it is so much
information that you have to obtain. I like that the – Rick, the owner – has been
present all three days. He spoke to us and you could tell he genuinely
cares about the agent. Most big organizations, you’re just a number
to them, but, you know, Rick made us feel – makes you feel like he really truly cares
for you and your success. Not just his own personal success, but the
agents as a whole, you can tell it’s a family oriented type environment, so. And I really forgot your question.” [Laughter] Off-Camera: “No, I think that was perfect.” “Yea, no, you nailed it!”
