Group asking for feedback on possible recreational marijuana ballot measure

my committee planning a ballot initiative on legalizing recreational marijuana in Montana is asking for input on what it’s proposed measure should look like coalition 406 has opened an online survey it includes questions on issues like who should be allowed to buy or sell marijuana and how recreational marijuana should be taxed more than 300 people have already submitted responses today the group discussed the initial results of the survey and some draft ballot language with current medical marijuana providers organizers say they’ll take all of the input into consideration as they put together the final ballot measure we want to make this thing very Montana centric and start from a place based on Montana values we think that that marijuana legalization is very popular in Montana but Montanans want to do it the way that they want to do it they don’t want to be California they want to continue to be Montana Coalition 4:06 leaders say they plan to finalize their proposed ballot language in about a month it would then have to be reviewed by the Secretary of State and Attorney General’s offices before it can begin collecting signatures to put it on the ballot
