Fishing with Kids (Olympic National Park)

Yeah, now we’re just got off the bus, and got a right up here to trailhead, and now we only been in like half mile in or so, and Rylee tell everybody what you just seen by the river. What I seen, just a little glimpse of it. There was a bobcat, right down here just running, and it was an orange bobcat. Yep! That is the second bobcat, Jake has seen in the wild, just that color. Yeah, I looked up and I actually seen it running down the gravel bar. It was a little mid-sized Bobcat, it was good find. Yeah, I only seen bobcats in the zoo. I know this is wild out here, huh. and then tell everybody else what you just found on the trail here. I just found little bitty wild blackberries. Yeah, found a whole nest of wild blackberries here that we’re going to eat. Bottoms up! Yep, num num num num. Alright, we are here at camp, finally made it, it a little bit mosquito’e, so Rylee opted out to stay in the comforts of the mosquito shelter. Pretty much done setting up camp. We decided to get set up the pole and try to get in some fishing before it gets dark here, and then we’ll just cook dinner, after a little bit later. Decided to get a few casts into the river. What do you think Rylee? I think, we are probably not going to catch any fish tonight, but we might catch some in the morning. Maybe tomorrow? ok Alright, getting some dinner going here. It’s getting dark. woo-who, first night. Now we reached morning, and we are almost rested up; not really. but, yeah, we’re gonna make some juice, then go fish and then just chill. *sound of the river* A bit breezy out here this afternoon, on the gravel bar. You can see the view of our tent, with a nest. Pitched it with rocks instead, of using stakes, because of being on a gravel bar. You can see a lot of swirling winds out here this afternoon, but that keeps the bugs away. *sound of river* *sound of campfire* Alright, it’s day three and we are packing up camp, to move out the head back down to catch the bus. So what do you think about this trip Rylee? I think it was a nice trip, we almost caught a fish. Did any bears waking up last night? Rarrr, yes! A bunch of them? Yeah, one named Jake. So how do you like your backpack? Awesome! Walking, the never ending road.
