hi I’m Rachael Roth here’s what’s
happening around Fairfax City on Friday night beginning at 7:00 the Fairfax
volunteer fire department hosts bingo at fire station three children ages 12 and
up are welcome to play along with a paying adults there’s free coffee good
food entertaining callers and the chance to win prizes all of the proceeds
benefit the Fairfax volunteer fire department visit their website for
details a great way to end the year is by running the Fairfax four miler this
kid- and pet-friendly race steps off from Old Town Square at 6 p.m. on New Year’s
Eve participants make their way down University Drive and George Mason
Boulevard then around Patriots circle and back a pizza party at Old Town Hall
awaits the runners as they finish the race space is limited so be sure to sign
up soon also please be advised that there will be rolling street closures
during the race officers will be at every intersection to make sure
everything runs smoothly if you’re looking to try something new in 2020
