Exploring The Abandoned Tunnels / That YouTub3 Family

– [Mom] This is by far
my worst, worst, worst fear in the world. – What is that? Jordan, do you see that? – [Jordan] Yeah. – [Dad] Look at that. – Let’s go see what it is. – Hi guys! Welcome back to – That Youtube Family!
– That Youtube Family! – And today, we are going
hiking along this ridge that we found in the forest. It’s really steep. It has a steep drop off, but we think that one of the entrances to this underground system– tunnel system is over here so we’re going to see if we can go in if it’s a
kid friendly tunnel entrance that we can all explore together. But in the meantime,
I’m a little freaked out because it’s high up
and there is a drop off. – So hug the wall. – Yes, everybody hug this wall. – Mom doesn’t like heights. – [Mom] So guys, let’s get walking but stay against the wall. – Skip? – [Mom] No! There’s no skipping. Hug the wall. Hug the wall. Stay away from the steep cliff. – It only goes straight down. – [Jordan] Guys, the fence ends over here. – I know. The protective barrier’s about to stop. – [Mom] We found this fence thingy to protect but it’s coming to an end and I’m nervous. – Well, the good thing is that the trail doesn’t get any narrower. It still stays the same width. – [Mom] Oh my gosh. Where are we ending up? – Is this fence here to
protect us from falling or to stop the rocks from falling? – [Mom] Oh. – What do you think? – [Mom] That’s true, maybe for the rocks. – Yeah, it could have
nothing to do with this ’cause there were a couple
of houses down there. Maybe they’re trying to protect– – [Mom] Oh great. Okay, just be careful. We don’t wanna go off the edge. I don’t like this. We are headed clear over there. – Can you see those– It looks like it’s some sort of abandoned building up there on that side of the wall. – [Mom] And we think that that might be a tunnel entrance so we’re going to check it out. – There’s more fences over there. – [Mom] Oh my gosh, okay. I’m freaked out. Guys, just hug the rock because it is getting really steep. I don’t know if I can
handle this or do it. – You can do it, come on. That does go straight down. – [Mom] There is like a
steep drop off right here and I am so terrified of heights, you don’t even know. This is like facing my worst fear. – This part is actually really scary ’cause it does go
straight down, like scary. Let’s keep going. – [Mom] I know. This is my worst, worst, worst fear in the world. – This part’s better. A little bit better. – [Mom] My heart is
beating out of my chest. Like, I just feel shook up. – Mom, shooketh! She’s done! She’s quacking! – [Mom] I’m about to quit! – What is that? Jordan, do you see that? – Yeah. – Let’s go see what it is. – [Dad] It’s right up there on the hill. – What if that’s like the experiment–like where they did their experiments? – [Dad] Whoa. There’s a big old silo. Like a big bunker thing too. – [Mom] Whoa!
– [Jordan] Whoa! – [Mom] That’s huge!
What would be in there? – [Dad] I have no idea. Do you think there’s cameras? People watching us? Keep a look out guys because– – It’s abandoned. – [Dad] Jordan, what did you find? – Okay, so we’ve come up
really close to this tower and I see like a little
pipe going down here through the bushes. Do you see that? – [Dad] Oh yeah. – And it goes down to the path right here where we’re standing. I think we’re getting close
to something, you guys. – I think it’s like– – [Dad] Wonder where these all go if they all connect? Look at this though. This is telling us that we cannot trespass upon the tower. – [Jordan] That’s not an option now. – That tells me that
this is a privately owned or like a government type of facility that we can’t get in to, but man, that would look really cool. I really wonder what’s up in that that fortress. – [Mom] Okay, so there– This looks cool
– [Dad] Look at that. How do we get up there? – [Mom] I don’t know, that’s a tall– – [Dad] Whoa, look at that right there. There’s an opening. – [Mom] There is an opening. – [Dad] There’s a big opening. Jake, you think you could shimmy up there? – Maybe. – [Mom] Do you think we should explore it? – [Dad] I don’t know if we can. This one’s telling us, “No Trespassing.” That is such a big building
on the edge of a cliff. You can tell, something’s
goin’ on in there that they don’t want the
public to know about. – I don’t know if this
is like a recent sign or anything, I don’t know. I don’t know if this
says, “No Trespassing,” maybe we should find
another building to explore that doesn’t say that ’cause I don’t wanna get in trouble. – [Dad] Or maybe there’s
another way to get in to the building that would make it to where we don’t have to climb up here. – [Mom] Yeah, ’cause I don’t want to break any laws or anything. That’s not good to do ever. – [Dad] I heard that
there was a cave up here. Maybe we should go look for the cave. What do you guys think? – Yeah. – There’s a big opening. – [Dad] What’s that? – There’s a big opening right there. – [Dad] Oh wow. – That’s almost Jurassic
looking, you know? Like it house a big creature that they would cage in. – [Dad] Have you ever seen a building like that before? – No. – Maybe on Jurassic Park. – Yeah, me too. – [Dad] Wait, Jurassic Park? They held dinosaurs. – I know. That’s why I’m like going,
“What are they holding?” – [Dad] Let’s see if I can zoom in closer. Comment down below if you think you know what this held or what
this building was used for. – [Jordan] That’s crazy. – [Dad] That’s as close as I can get guys. It’s like this was a big
shoot right here one time. Wow. Okay, let’s keep goin’. Okay, so we’ve gone past the building. What’s over here guys? – We are– I don’t know. We’re going around this corner and we’re kinda getting
into a little bit thicker foresty shrubs again. I’m not sure where we’re ending up. That last place looked
like it could have been a government facility that they used experiments on. I don’t know what they
would have housed there, but there is like a
tunnel leading in to it. It’s dark on the inside. I don’t know. Now we’re gonna go further up and see if we can find
the tunnel entrance. – [Dad] Alright. Jordan, lead the way. – It also looks like
it goes in right here, like in this shrubbery. Do you see that? – [Dad] What’s down in there? – [Jordan] I don’t know. – [Ty] Probably a snake. – [Dad] A snake? Alright, let’s go this way then. We don’t want any snakes on this trip. Okay, so this trail goes
up around that corner and it goes back into that canyon. – And I would just keep and eye out all around us just to make sure that nothing is tracking us, because I don’t know
what’s on this property. – [Dad] There could be anybody looking up other those things there. – Well, are there experiments that went wrong that could be up here? I don’t know and I don’t know what–how dangerous it is or even
if it is dangerous. – [Ty] And bandits might be up here. – [Dad] Could be. – Here’s another entrance. – [Dad] Whoa, keep finding
all these entrances. – [Mom] We didn’t bring the tools again. – [Dad] I’ve got a flashlight,
that’s all I brought ’cause I didn’t think
we’d actually find one. – Are dandelions supposed to be this big? – [Dad] I wonder if that’s the experiments that are handled up here? – Yeah, so this time we kinda went around a different way than we went before and we kinda went up
the mountain this time instead of through the forest. So, if we want to see
more down in the forest, maybe we’ll do that next time. I just wanna find an easier
way to get in these tunnels so the kids don’t have
to kinda get twisted and try to shimmy down
through those tunnels ’cause they were a little bit tricky. – [Dad] Oh man. – [Mom] Yeah, stay over this side. – [Dad] So it keeps going all the way down and around. Alright, we’ll check in in just a minute. – Wait guys, it turns
like there’s three paths. Which one are we supposed to take? – What is that? Is that another bunker? There’s a square thing right here. – [Dad] That’s definitely man made. – [Mom] There’s three square things that– I don’t know if they’re bunker– I tell you, there are underground bunkers that are all over this area. What is going on? Why would they have bunkers? – Look, like we can go up. We can go to the right or we can go down. Which way are we gonna go? – [Dad] I say we go up. – There’s a fork in the road. – [Dad] Let’s go up the hill. – I think we go straight. – [Dad] Yeah, I think we
go straight up the hill. – I think we should go down. – No. – [Dad] I think we go up. Are we splitting up? – [Jordan] There’s a pipe! There’s a pipe. There’s a pipe. There’s a pipe, come here. – [Dad] There’s a pipe? Oh yeah, that tells me that we need to probably go up then. – This is a dead end so
we probably need to go up. – [Dad] Let’s go up ’cause what ever it is is gonna come from up in the hills. Let’s go up guys. Jordan, what are you standing on? – I don’t know. – [Dad] Where are you going? – Away from that. – [Dad] Look at this. – [Mom] Do you see the size of that? That’s about the size of
that black shadow thing that we saw. That is huge. – [Jordan] Wait, really? – Yeah, that means that these tunnels can hold whatever it was that we caught a glimpse of that one day. – [Dad] That is one big lid. – [Mom] Whatever it is
has to be probably like 10 feet tall. – [Dad] Look, there’s something here guys. – [Mom] That’s huge. – [Dad] Jake does it– oh, it’s locked. As you can see. – [Mom] What if they
trapped all–they closed those to trap the beast in? What if the experiment
is trapped in there? But then there’s all
these tunnel entrances that we saw broken and that’s how they’re getting
out into the forest where we saw it. This is crazy ’cause
these are huge entrances and they obviously have been locked to keep in whatever’s in there. – [Dad] Shall we keep going up the trail? Looks like something’s carved out there between those two rocks. Look at that. Let’s go up there and
check out that trail. – This doesn’t look like
it’s leading to anywhere. – We’re looking for clues. I wanna see if there’s like any fur or any footprints so I’m keeping my eyes open. – [Jordan] Guys, I see
something right here! – [Mom] This could be a huge discovery. I don’t know. Another one? What is with this? – [Jordan] I don’t know. – [Mom] See, we need bolts. We need something to get these holes out. – [Jake] It has numbers and letters. – [Dad] It does? – [Jake] Yeah, right there. – [Dad] What does it say? I can’t tell. Oh look, there’s another hatch. Let’s go see if that one’s locked. Oh wait, what’s behind the hatch? Is that a– Is that a cave? – There’s another one! – Look right here! – [Dad] Let’s go see. Whoa, it’s another big one. Guys, these aren’t for
the little ones any more. – [Mom] That’s what I’m saying. – [Dad] This one’s got dual locks. Look, there’s two. – [Mom] Whatever it is is strong. – [Ty] Maybe– – This is pure steel
with locks, two locks? – [Mom] And then they cemented over it. – [Dad] Yeah, has this been broken off? Look at these things. – [Ty] I think that the pieces coming out like these tunnels so they just lock the tunnels so they can’t get out. – [Mom] I think you’re right. – [Dad] There’s a tunnel up ahead or a cave. Let’s go check it out. – Yeah, we should go look. – We did not bring
supplies for this again. – [Dad] Whoa. This is definitely man made. You can see all the steel reinforcements that they had to put over the top. – Guys, look at this. Like, this is crazy. – [Dad] Whoa, look at these things. I’ve never seen a cave where they’ve bolted the top. – [Mom] Oh my gosh, that scared me. – [Dad] That’s what we call a bird. It’s a big bird right there. – [Jordan] Wait, this is
a very long, dark tunnel and there’s a small
opening on the other side. Do you see that? Like, this is a really long tunnel. – Okay, is this to hold up the mountain or is this to stop the beast and we use it to come down as like bars and the beast put it up? – [Jordan] Yeah ’cause it looks like these steel plates have been like twisted and bent weird like it wasn’t
supposed to be like that. – [Dad] They’ve been messed up. These are some jagged rocks. Look at how jagged those things are. That would give you a major headache. Look how bent this steel is. – [Jordan] Look how rusty it is too. – [Dad] That’s a lot of power to be able to bent those steel beams. – [Ty] What happens if like
water drips though here? – Guys, the tunnel’s getting smaller. It’s becoming the size of me and I’m like look! – [Ty] It goes down and then up. – For the record, I’m five foot three and that’s literally
how tall this tunnel is. There’s not much space. So I’m gonna have to start crouching down. – [Dad] Careful everybody. – Ty doesn’t even have to crouch. – [Jordan] It’s getting so small! It’s like smaller than Jake’s height now. – The metal bars stopped! No more metal bars. – [Jordan] There’s no more metal bars? – [Dad] This is the
last of the metal bars. Wait for me, Ty. – [Jordan] Shine the flashlight back here. Come here, come look. Look right here. – [Dad] What’s on the floor? – [Jordan] Like, that looks wet. Like something was biting on it. Do you see that? It looks like something was biting on it. Oh my gosh! Is that like saliva? – [Dad] I hope it’s not saliva. – [Jordan] What if that’s
the thing? The shadow? – [Ty] What if something
got caught up there and he had to break free? – [Dad] What’s on the ground? Look on the ground. Is this dirt or this like? – [Jake] It’s clay. – [Dad] I don’t wanna think that this is– Look, you can see the ridges across. This has been– this is
like a different floor. – [Jordan] Oh look, you can see like– What in the world? There’s like different
stuff underneath this. – [Ty] That kinda looks like metal. – [Dad] I don’t know. Should we keep going? See what’s on the other side? Everybody’s gotta crouch
but Team Short Stuff here. He can walk straight up. – There used to be like
a box here or something. – [Jordan] Wait, guys come look at this. Like, there’s a big
long line with an indent that looks like something was dragged through this tunnel. – [Dad] I wonder if
there were railroad carts going through here at one time. – [Jordan] Or what if it’s not railroad? – [Dad] Mine cars I mean. – What if somebody was like trying to trap the beast if this kinda like caved in and the other two sides like
closed on the metal bars? – Jake thinks he found a footprint. Oh my gosh, it kinda does look like it and it’s wet too! Look, it looks like paw, paw, paw and then like the little
like fingers right there and then like the big palm. – [Mom] That’s smaller than
what I’m picturing though. Like what I’m picturing must be huge unless there’s multiple. – Yeah what if there’s multiple creatures. – What if there was a lot. – This footprint looks fresh because it’s wet. – [Jordan] Yeah, you’re right.
– [Mom] Yeah, that’s true. – [Mom] It does, it’s definitely wet. – [Jake] So the shadow or other monster must be here? – Something came through here and left that recently
before it could dry. So, we probably better hurry through and get out of here. – [Jordan] Let’s go. – There’s like scratches on the wall. – I know, that’s what worries me. – Guys, there’s like another burrow. – It’s like when you see the claw marks or the scratches it’s like– Did something dig their way through here? What was this made for? – Maybe to trap the beast? – I don’t know. What could they have been trying to get that was deep in the mountain? – I think this is where the steel– – I can stand up! – [Ty] Not anymore to get to the exit. – [Dad] What? Is that a map? – If that’s not suspicious, I don’t know what is. – [Dad] Is it a map? – [Mom] No, it doesn’t come out. – Looks like a pipe that was broken. What if there’s like huge shadows and like tiny baby ones? What if there was like tiny baby shadows? ‘Cause that small footprint,
now the small pipe and you see all these little burrows. – [Mom] There’s another pipe down there. – [Dad] It just keeps going doesn’t it? – [Ty] What if the beast like pulls–like is trying to pull the pipes out and break them? – [Mom] Yeah, what if
there’s pipes ran through? – [Dad] Okay, we’re at the end. – [Jake] This looks like
where like a door used to be. – [Dad] Yeah, this could’ve
been a doorway, huh? Look at this though. Look at all these pipes in the walls. – These look like they
have been ripped off. – [Dad] That is some serious ripping. – This looks like this has
been– do you see this? Do you see how it’s like all bolted? – [Dad] This was definitely
a fortified area. – [Jordan] And then
something broke through it. Let’s get out of here. – [Dad] Jake, what are you sitting on? – I don’t know. – [Dad] Is this another entrance box? – Probably. – [Dad] The problem is this one doesn’t have any handles. There’s just two bolts there so we have to bring a wench to try to open this one. – There’s a big rock on the corner. – [Dad] What about this? This one here. It’s got two padlocks on it. – It’s really windy up here. – [Dad] What do you guys think? Do we keep going? – I think maybe we should go back. – Go back. – [Dad] Go back and get some supplies. – Let’s get supplies. Let’s go back and get supplies. – Okay, so we didn’t
notice this going into but coming back out of
there are footprints here that could be from who
ever the scientists were as they were walking through or trying to hurry and get out because the footprints
look like they were kinda running and trying to
get– multiple footprints trying to get out at the
same time really fast. Definitely footprints here. – There’s like a deer print. – There’s a few different
things going on here and we saw a fresh one back there so we need to get out of here. I think that we should
go get some supplies at the store and maybe try
to go into the tunnels more or try even to go into
one of those bunkers that we found, like an abandoned building. – [Dad] Okay, let’s go get our supplies. – [Mom] Okay, we are looking for supplies. There’s ropes, we might need some rope. That’s a nice, heavy duty rope. – That’s a big one. – [Mom] That’s longer than our last maybe, maybe not. I don’t know. – It’s sturdy though. – [Mom] Definitely sturdy. – Can I get a pet ducky? – [Mom] You want a ducky? – [Dad] As a decoy and
then the monster will go after that instead of us. – [Mom] That might not be a bad idea. – [Jordan] It’s just a
little plastic ducky. It’d just be like (duck quack). – [Mom] That’s your pet? – Yeah. What should we name him, guys? Comment down below. – [Mom] Are we gonna keep looking? – Yep, let’s keep looking. – [Mom] Okay. – Okay, here’s like a carrier and cage. A cage. – [Jordan] Oh, that’s a big cage too. – We could put some bait in there and let the creature go in and have it close on him. – [Mom] Do you think the
creature’s that small? I’m pretty sure it’s bigger than the bear up there? – What bear? – [Mom] That bear. – Also, what if like it can
get out through the holes? But wait, how would it? Nevermind. – [Mom] Maybe it’s like
a vapor type creature? – ‘Cause if it’s like a shadow. – Let’s go look for a different one. – [Mom] Okay, so now
we’ve found what we need. – Yeah, but I don’t know how big we want. Do we want a big one? – [Mom] Might need the biggest. – [Ty] Yeah we might need the biggest because the small ones are for beavers that are smaller. – [Mom] Yeah, we’re going
to get the big, bad, black vapor creature. – That’s a big one. Something like that as a trap and then you could chain it to a rock or something like a big boulder. – [Jordan] Guys, we’re
getting serious about this! – [Mom] That would probably work. – Shall we do this? – [Mom] What do you think? Should we try to trap it? – Okay, let’s get this one. – [Mom] Okay. – Okay we came back to
the duck decoy section and this is my friend. It is not going to be used as bait so we’re gonna get it, just to be a pet to come along with us on
our journey, some company but it’s not gonna be bait. – How about this guy right here? We’ve got our trap. We’ve got our rope. We’ve got our pet. – Our company. – We’ve got the flashlight. – [Mom] Okay, we have to go home and pack some packs, maybe some overnight stuff. – Thank you guys so much
for watching today’s video. If you like to see us go on the hunt for whatever’s out there,
