Emerald Lake Hiking Trail at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado

[Music] [Yelling from tunnel] …and now it’s time for the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show! Welcome to episode 3 of the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show. Today, I’m in Estes Park, Colorado and we are headed to Rocky Mountain National Park. Alright guys, here goes nothing. Rocky Mountain National Park; we’re headed to Emerald Lake, which is 1.8 miles one way. I had to head into town and rent some snowshoes. …which I’ve never done before. But I’m kind of excited, I’ve always wanted to do it. And we’ll give it a shot so I’ll check back in just a few minutes. Don’t go anywhere. Alright, this is called Nymph Lake, I believe. I just met some really nice people from Tennessee… …and we’re looking at the map, trying to figure out where the heck we need to go. So, this is Nymph Lake on our way out to Emerald Lake & Dream Lake. And we are headed down that way. I’ll be back in two and two. Alright, just a quick overlook shot here. The way up the trail is kind of pretty and thought I’d zoom in a tiny bit. That’s the way we’re headed, right there. So far, it’s not too windy and the temperature is perfect! So, I’ll check back in just a few minutes. Check out how beautiful this is! This is one of the lakes. It’s either Nymph Lake or Dream Lake… …or Emerald Lake. I don’t know what it’s called. So, there was a woodpecker on this tree right here, but… …he just took off. I thought I was gonna have some good live footage for you. But this is almost just as amazing right here. Be right back. So, I feel like I’m getting close to the end… Even though that can’t really be possible. Because I feel like I just started. But look how beautiful this is! Amazing! Alright. I’ll be back with more awesome video. Don’t go anywhere. [Music] [Noise of snowshoes walking on snow & ice] [Birds singing & other nature sounds] [Music] [Sound of running water] This whole field is loaded with these animals. They’re beautiful. They must be elk or moose… One or the other. Awesome! [Motorcycle noise] [Music] So, don’t go anywhere I’m coming up with some bonus footage of Estes Park. [Music] [Barking dogs] So, I apologize for the lack of commentary on this video. But I’m hanging with Yogi Bear here. [Music] [Running water] [Xylophone playing “Mary Had A Little Lamb”] [Whistling “Andy Griffith” theme song] I’ve got one more item of business to take care of. And that is…I’ve got to give a shout out to somebody on this video. Mom & Dad, this one’s for you. You know how much I love you! You mean so much to me and we’ve been through a lot together. This video’s for you…I love you so much! Well, my battery is almost dead. That’s all I’ve got for you. I started my day at Kind Coffee and ended my day at Kind Coffee. So, I hope you liked my video.
