Chile Travel Report | Mysteryland 2013

Here, 75 km from the capital Santiago, is a unique patch of deserted natural
land in the longest country in the world. It’s where the best dance festival
on the planet takes place. I’m talking about Mysteryland Chile. Luckily, one thing that
there’s plenty of is sunshine. But that also means
that the heat is scorching. Mysteryland Chile, just look at this! Do you know what’s great
about Mysteryland here in Chile? Everyone’s happy at Mysteryland,
no matter what. And it lasts for three days. Three days of happy people
and great weather. What more could you ask for? Is it your first or second time here? – Second
– Second, ahh. – So you already had this one?
– Yep, I had it before. Have you come
for anything in particular? Q-Dance, Noisecontrolles
and Dirty Dutch, Chuckie. – Chuckie the Dutch.
– Yes. What makes Mysteryland
so special? Tell me Well, it’s three days of pure cool,
people are really nice, – It’s all good, and for three days
– Sex. What better?
Well, I didn’t do it, not me. This is my cousin. It’s his first time at Mysteryland. So what’s going on? An incredible party. Loads of people,
from all over Chile and the world. One of the best parties I’ve been to. My first time here,
the people are awesome. Incredible organisation,
good music, good atmosphere. It’s been an amazing day.
But it’s going to get even better, because Mysteryland comes to life
when the sun sets. Mysteryland by night. – Boris.
– Yes. Tell me what you think
about the Chileans here. It’s all positive. They’re really letting it all go, as if their lives depend on it. I reckon that this whole festival thing
is quite new to them and that they’re still
learning about it. It’s all positivity and good spirits. They simply go crazy for everything, so it’s kind of possible
to control them. – To go flat out?
– Flat out, yes. They really like to party hard here. In the Netherlands,
Mysteryland is only one day long. But here in Chile,
the party lasts for three days. And if you want
to party like the Chileans, you have to eat
and drink like the Chileans. Empanadas and piscola. – Cheers.
– Cheers What makes Mysteryland
in Chile so special? Everything about it. The people, the bright colours,
all the nature around us. There’s an unbelievably tight bond
between the people here, and you can feel that in the air. You DJ all over the world,
but what makes the Chileans so special? You’ll notice that they really
appreciate the small things. For example? Yesterday at the Q-dance stage,
one shot of fireworks went up and everyone went mad. For them it’s something new
and for me it’s great to watch. I’ve gone to many festivals, but I’ve never experienced
anything like Mysteryland Chile. Three days of partying,
great people and perfect weather. I’m going home completely satisfied and I’ll see you in Holland
on 24 August 2013!
