48 HOURS IN SANTA CRUZ 🍹☀️👙 HOTEL PARADOX, ALDERWOOD, CAPITOLA BEACH, MOTHER-DAUGHTER MINI GETAWAY

Hey friends, welcome back to another
travel vlog. I am here in Santa Cruz for a couple nights at a Hotel Paradox. I
just checked in, I was doing some work in my room, and now I’m poolside catching in some rays, it is nice. I’ve been to Santa Cruz
hundreds of times but it’s not often I stay down here,
I don’t think I’ve ever stayed down here. This hotel is part of the Autograph
Collection by Marriott Bonvoy and I’m super excited to show you guys
more of the hotel and more of what we get up to here at Santa Cruz. They have an in-house
restaurant, super walkable and close to downtown, there’s a pool, there’s
cabanas, family-friendly, couple friendly, there’s
even electric vehicle charging. So that’s it for now, check in with you guys soon. Got myself a poolside Caesar salad with baby kale, yum! This room is so cute! So first of all,
we’ve got a view of the pool, does it get better than that? I don’t
know! Got a nice sitting area, the bed gorgeous exposed wood paneling is echoed
throughout the property, even the front desk is made of one continuous piece of
wood, and lovely earth tones. I love how they decorated, kind of got that Santa
Cruz mountainy vibe, love it! Even this lamp has the wood going throughout it.
Coffee bar area with an Illy machine. This definitely stood out to me on the
website when I was looking at the rooms, they have these barn doors with the
mirror on it, like major house inspo right here, I definitely want this in my
future home a barn door with a mirror, I think that’s so handy and useful. And the bathroom, love the pebble detail on the floor. He’s a big boy! Dog mermaid. Awww! Stretching. OK, so we’re back at the hotel now, dinner was OK…. I really don’t want to
recommend the spot we went to even though it’s a really popular like touristy
spot down here. We’re now at the hotel pool, getting a quick dip in the hot tub
in before bed. This is the biggest hot tub ever! It’s good. I mean, some hotels this is the size of their pool. I know. Hey friends, so it is day two in Santa
Cruz. We are currently going to Natural Bridges State Beach. It’s one of my
favorite beaches in Santa Cruz and it’s about 15 minutes away from the hotel. I
haven’t been here in about 12 years, I think the last time I came was maybe
around college, I can’t quite remember. There’s a really nice vista point and view,
and it’s super cute so we’re gonna go head down to the beach soon and I’ll
show you guys more. Oh my gosh, we’re here! So we have made it to Capitola, it’s about 15 minutes south of the hotel and I love it down
here, it’s kind of like hippie meets bougie surf town vibes. OK, we have made it
to Capitola Beach. Got myself a slice of Pizza My Heart mushroom pizza.
Gonna enjoy this, and enjoy the view. One of the many amazing perks of this
hotel is that they have these refillable water stations. This is just like the one
in my pilates studio, so you just press here water comes out there, and it’s alkalized,
filtered, all that good stuff. OK so we’ve got avocado toast, orange juice, and the breakfast sandwich. So they use delicious local bread here. Yeah, it’s good bread, huh! That is the business right there! So that is a wrap for our stay at Hotel
Paradox. My mom and I had such an amazing stay, I wish I was staying another night,
TBH! Super nice amenities, the pool’s amazing, the restaurant’s really good, they
serve food all day long, cocktails are flowing, they even have
yoga on Wednesday evenings and then they have goat yoga every first Sunday of the
month. I will have all the details for the hotel linked down below so you can book your stay. So, thanks so much for watching and I’ll see you guys very soon in the next one. Bye!
