10 Best Places to Visit in California 2019 – Travel Video

There’s more to California than just movie
stars and Disneyland. This is a state that boasts a large number
of stunning natural attractions, including beautiful beaches, serene deserts and majestic
mountains. California is also home to a number of exciting
major cities, charming towns and to some of the world’s best wineries. An overview of the best places to visit in
California: Number 10. Big Sur. Located between the Carmel Highlands and San
Simeon, Big Sur is a large, rocky stretch of the Californian Coastline. Although it doesn’t have any official boundaries,
it lines around 70 miles of the California’s famous Highway One. The area is a magnet for travelers on road
trips, who are attracted by the towering redwood trees and breathtaking beaches along the route. More than just beautiful scenery for driving
through, the area also provides plenty of top hiking opportunities which wind their
way through the several state parks encompassed by Big Sur. Number 9. Catalina Island. This charming island is located approximately
22 miles across the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles. It is both a favorite day trip for visitors
to L.A., as well as a popular vacation and honeymoon spot. Santa Catalina is a small island with two
main centers of population, Two Harbors and Avalon. Most travelers to the island stay mainly in
the Avalon area. Surprisingly, the island even boasts a small
population of American bison that were brought to the island during the filming of a movie. Travelers can reach the island by private
boat, ferries, helicopters or small planes. Once on the island, transportation is limited
to bicycles, taxis and golf carts. Number 8. Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is not only impressive for being
the second deepest lake in the US, but also for its wide length of shoreline which offers
fantastic natural vistas. The freshwater lake straddles both California
and Nevada and is a top destination year round. The lake became a winter sports destination
after the 1960s Winter Olympics were held in Squaw Valley on the North Shore. Summer brings hiking in the mountains and
boat trips on the lake, as well as days spent lazing on
the shore, swimming, and BBQs. Number 7. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks These two national parks are located next
door to each other in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains, and both are famous for
their enormous giant sequoia trees. These trees can grow to be more than 300 feet
tall and their trunks can be as much as 100 feet wide. Sequoia National Park, which was established
in 1890, is also home to Mount Whitney, which is the highest point in the contiguous United
States. Interestingly enough, Kings Canyon boasts
the deepest canyon in America. The parks are also home to a lot of wildlife
species, including bobcats, gray foxes, bears and mule deer. If they’re lucky, visitors might even be
able to spot bighorn sheep or mountain lions. Both parks are popular with backpackers and
hikers, and there are 14 campgrounds available for visitors. Number 6. Napa Valley. Napa Valley is the premier destination for
wine lovers in the United States. Its wines are considered to be some of the
best in the world. To accommodate the many vino connoisseurs
that travel to Napa, the area now boasts a variety of accommodations, including charming
bed and breakfasts, lovely boutique hotels and well-known chain hotels. There are also camping grounds available for
those interested in saving a little money on lodging. In addition, Napa Valley boasts many world-class
spas where visitors can get pampered and enjoy a variety of fun activities, including hot
air balloon rides and guided bike wine tours. Number 5. San Diego. With fabulous beaches, ideal climate and outstanding
family attractions, it is no wonder that San Diego is one of the most popular places to
visit in California. Located just north of the Mexican border,
San Diego is a large coastal city with a small town atmosphere. The most popular attraction in San Diego is
America’s premier zoo, which is located in Balboa Park with flowering gardens and
Spanish architecture. The city is home to other family attractions
like SeaWorld San Diego and the Birch Aquarium. Another tourist magnet, San Diego’s stunning
coastline, offers miles of fantastic beaches including the upscale beach neighborhood of
La Jolla. Number 4. Death Valley. Located in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley
encompasses much of the Death Valley National Park. Although regarded as the driest and lowest
place in North America, Death Valley offers a variety of outdoor activities, historic
sites and nature viewing. From snow-capped mountains to colorful sand
dunes, the unique desert landscapes of Death Valley are like no other place in California. Places of interests include the scenic vista
of Zabriskie Point and historic sites like Scotty’s Castle, the Wildrose Charcoal Kilns
and ruins of ghost towns. Number 3. Los Angeles. The second-largest city in the USA, Los Angeles
is located in southern California surrounded by the Pacific Coast, mountains and valleys. Known as the City of Angels, the city offers
a wide range of attractions and beaches, including wild-and-crazy Venice Beach and Malibu, the
sandy playground favored by movie stars. Travelers to L.A. can find some of the best-known
amusement parks on the planet here, including Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood. Los Angeles is also one of the best places
in the United States to go in search of celebrities. Tourists can look for celebrity homes or shop
at the designer stores in Beverly Hills that cater to the stars. And in L.A., travelers can also visit and
eat at the same famous restaurants that the celebs and the rich and famous dine at. Number 2. Yosemite National Park. Located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of
central eastern California, the Yosemite National Park is well-loved for its stunning granite
cliffs, Giant Sequoia groves, beautiful waterfalls and diverse animal and plant life. Visitors can hike among the 800 miles of trails,
or drive along scenic routes to experience the beautiful landscapes and glimpse wildlife. Attractions include Glacier Point, with incredible
views of the Yosemite Valley, the nature center and Yosemite Museum and historic places like
the LeConte Memorial Lodge and the Ahwahnee Hotel. Number 1. San Francisco. San Francisco is a fun and exciting city in
northern California, set on the tip of a peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area. Undoubtedly, the Golden Gate Bridge is the
city’s number one attraction. Tourists can drive, bike ride or walk across
this famous suspension bridge to admire and photograph stunning views. In addition, visitors to San Francisco can
visit Lombard Street, which is famous for its tight curves, or take a trip to San Francisco’s
Chinatown section, which is the largest outside of Asia. And then, of course, there are the other big
tourist favorites — Fisherman’s Wharf and the infamous prison on Alcatraz Island.

Being a Californian. Best way to put it is you go up North/East for Mountains and snow, you go South for heat and deserts, go West for beaches and wind.

  • You can have California the democratic terrorist party and there fucking taxes best thing for America is to give California and the Democrats to Mexico fact

  • Lucio Gutierrez Jr says:

Best part of California, is the "You are now exiting California" sign. Highest taxes for the most restricted place in the US.

  • Coffee With C says:

Homelessness, feces and street pee are found in every “bad area” in a certain place. Why diss entire San Francisco? I have not stepped on feces in places such as Golden gate bridge, the Lombard street, the Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz Island, and even the Fisherman’s Wharfs. San Francisco is beautiful, but just like every other place, there are bad neighborhoods.

  • Love your videos. Great visuals and great narration. The speaker is both professional sounding and informative. But, the narration doesn’t match the visuals. For example, for SF, you show Lombard but you’re discussing Alcatraz. You show the painted ladies but you are discussing Chinatown. Just a friendly critique. Thanks for sharing!

  • Sure, come to California and pay $1.00 more than national average for gas, be careful not to step in fecal matter left by the homeless or get stuck by a dirty hypodermic needle. Bring your whole family and pay the "Soda Tax" on drinks. You'll be overjoyed by the smell of burning marijuana everywhere and the beggars at every intersection. Yup, it's more than just movie stars and Disneyland!

  • AEI Automation Group says:

Stay south, because the best part of California is in the Northern Redwood, Rivers and Mountains. Maybe it will stay that way, a bit longer :).

  • Marlena Craft says:

Have been to California twice in my life. Once in the 80's and in 2009 , never again… Beautiful land but not worth the cost

  • I'd not accept an all expense paid trip to the land of high prices for food FUEL ($4.10 a gallon for diesel) I noticed prices for fuel driving from Oregon into Yreka and patted myself on the back for fueling up prior to entering Callyfornicate! Did not spend a dime thru nutville on my way to Reno ! It may be beautiful but there are 49 other states to visit don't make lunaticville your choice you may bump into the likes of Peeloosi or Waters the nutcake politicians of this shithole!

  • R. Lara-Moore says:

God's nature of California is beautiful.
    sadly,
man's politics and current culture have made California
    very ugly.

  • Nicole Winslow says:

Lol they made a mistake, showed The Sonoma Plaza which is big attraction for tourists but it is not in Napa Valley, we have our own valley.

  • "World best wineries"? I doubt that.. The best thing you will find in USA is MARKETING.. everything else is just as normal as anywhere else on this planet.

  • Rebecca C Ramirez says:

I live in California and on video and picture the state is beautiful however when you are really living here its turns ugly

  • This would have been a good list if it didn't have San Francisco on it. It is the worst major city in the US and it is better to avoid it. Others have hit on the reasons. Santa Barbara/ Solvang/Wineries should be on here. It is easily #2 after Yosemite. I would drop LA and SD down the list. There is so much beauty in the state to go to big cities first.

  • I feel blessed living in CA.Happy that I have visited all the top places on list and some of them multiple times.

  • I don't know if I'm welcomed, I'm a Mexican, my birthday is coming next month, and I really love U.S.A ;^. I wanna visit my old "HOME", I lived in there with my Step-Dad, I consider him as my real dad, so it's quite I say I'm half from the U.S, sadly I don't know how to say it in there. But I hope I can get to meet California, since I have almost a whole year without going on the U.S. I hope I feel welcomed…, since Mexico and U.S are not friends, or brothers.

  • you need to work 3 jobs to live in california please people live in one house 20 to survive yes!so beautiful what a price….

  • As a guy from California don’t believe the stereotypes that the beaches are nice and warm. The beaches here suck ass and are cold asf. I’ve been to East Coast Canada once and the beaches there are even better.

  • Booksn Gardens says:

Get outside yr box an get a passport an travel. It will expand yr mind. Ca, is beautiful, especially Muir Woods.., an many other places there….

  • I honestly was disgusted last time I was in San Francisco, i walked out from my hotel virtually stumbling over homeless people, drug addicts, run down shops, rubbish…… what the hell has happened?

  • Edward Belcher says:

Very fortunate to live in the Central Valley where in two hours or less we can be in San Francisco, Napa Valley, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe (13 ski resorts) and Monterey/Carmel.

  • Proud to be a 3rd. Generation Californian Born, Monterey County, Capitol Salad Bowl of the world. Thank you God for my Family generations. I Love California❤️🙏🏼❤️👍🇺🇸✌🏼Helenu54 ❤️🙏🏼❤️

  • The Palm Springs tramway is my fave. Getting to the top of the mountain and just riding the tram is so exhilarating. The mountaintop is gorgeous year-round! 😍

  • California is the largest human cesspool. It's disgusting how they treat human lives. California sucks and the people are living in la la land. Human beings live on the side walk, human feces, needles and garbage are in many areas on the street, including San Francisco. The rich pay shit as the middle and poor or being bled. California literally sucks! You can see where they are pushing the country. Did you know surfers in Cali have the largest amount of fecal matter & fecal diseases in their stomachs. California is terrible all around.

  • Donna Cartwright says:

Go ahead, paint a pretty pic, this is nothing compared to living in this One-Party Sanctuary Socialist State. Police Officers need to get out and stop supporting this Government. They do not support you here! Start looking into other States where the community respects you, where they respect the military, the US Constitution and Federal Law. Where taxes are lower.
I DO NOT support Socialism. I will not buy their houses, their gas, buy and eat their food, buy their clothing, shop at any of their stores, pay their city taxes, state taxes, propery taxes. I will not buy into their Global Warming lies! . I will not be burned out by their failed infustructure called PG&E. I will not support homelessness of veterans, mentally ill or the drug additicted or criminals. I will not support their freeing the criminals due to their over crowding prisons and their support of illegal border crossers. I will not support the lure and enslavement of illegal border crossers, medically or through my tax dollar subsidies. I will not give you one red cent! I will not tolerate Socialism! Bye-Bye California. See yah!

  • Yes, when visiting California you too can learn the art of running a Obstacle course by dodging the poo and needles on the side walks. Learn how to nicely say no to pan handlers. Learn a mandatory new language Mexican, just to order a Big Mac. Find the best bargains in any town by visiting the tent lined streets of people selling the best and finest goods not made in America. A great day for the kids to learn a new skill is to watch homeless people steal from each other. For the adults, if you want to get your freak on, after midnight is to watch couple having sex in the streets. And most of all see the governor reach into your pocket for more tax dollars. After all you can afford it, your in California!

  • I dont get how haters specifically come to a travel vlog just to post a nasty comment .. I have never posted any disrespectful comments about any place even though every major city in the world has its good and bad aspects .

  • If traveling to California beware our homeless crisis it is at a boiling point homeless people are very violent and will attack you there’s also a typhus outbreak throughout Los Angeles county. May not be ideal for vacation with children.

  • If you came to California don't forgot to visit downtown you probably going to buy something is beautiful have fun shop in

  • One of the best things that can happen to the USA is for California to sink into the Pacific Ocean. It's a dirty rat infested shithole run by Democrats.
